How the

DSOM works

The District School of Ministry has two parts – independent study & an in person seminar. The seminar portion of our program is what makes the DSOM a unique experience compared to studying with Global University independently.

The seminar’s purpose is two-fold: first, to review the key points in the course manual to prepare students for the course exam; second, to dig deeper into the topic at hand and answer the question, “How does this material apply to my daily life and ministry?”

DSOM course instructors consist of local pastors, leaders, and academic professors. It is our intention to provide quality instructors who can effectively communicate course material and demonstrate how it integrates into ministry & Christian living.

  • New students register at least 5-6 weeks prior to the seminar date listed for the course they would like to begin the program with.

  • Courses repeat in the same order each year and so students can enroll at any point throughout the year.

  • The student will receive their course materials &  study the manual independently. The student will complete the entire manual & come to the seminar prepared for the exam.

  • Payment for the first course is due at time of enrollment. Subsequent courses are paid month to month as the student progresses through the program.

The seminar is a one day event, once a month, on a Saturday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. There is no seminar in January or June.
